High Value Activity

Build a core of internal employees that are indispensable and have flexible teams for support, volume, and abnormal conditions.

High Value Activity is a workforce planning design that keep a core group of employees retained, employed, and productive regardless of hire demand. A High Value team size is not necessarily related to normal volume of hires, but delivery of projects, reinforcing human resource objectives, and continuous improvement.
Conditions, Urgency, Abnormal
Have relationships at the ready with other human capital resources (internal or external) that can quickly handle abnormal conditions, volume, or business change. Have processes and procedures to turn them ON, turn them UP, and then turn them OFF.
Flex, Support, Volume
Constantly engage non-core resources that perform administrative, commoditized, and/or unusual work. Have flexible 3rd party human capital for handling a wide variance in hire volume. These teams can be internal or external.
Indispense, Strategic, Projects, Core
Build permanent headcount to serve the respective client group whether hires are above, at, or below normal volumes. This work should be specialized to the business and difficult to outsource.
